When Bharat was undergoing through centuries of agonizing Islamic conquest and when the barbarity of satanic sultans became an invincible ordinance, a destined avenger was being trained to reclaim the prestige of his motherland which was decimated at the cruel hands of Islamists. On 19th February 1630, born to Jijabai and Shahji Raje, the flame of patriotism condensed in the manifestation of The Great Shivaji. Under the divine guidance of Guru Ramdas, endorsed in training on war and administration - Shivaji Raje took the vow to establish Hindavi Swarajya at the daring young age of only 16. A disquieting shock hit the Sultanates when the commoners got united at Shivaji’s clarion call for a crusade against these tyrannical forces. Followed by the victory of reconquering Torana Fort, many dynasties who sent generals like Afzal Khan and Siddi Jahaur to vanquish Shivaji, saw their own demise. Aurangzeb, the last prominent icon of the Mughal Empire, unsettled by the meteoric rise of unity for Swarajya, made numerous futile attempts to subdue Shivaji’s grandeur. Subsequently, the vision of Hindavi Swarajya materialized on 6th June, 1674, when Shivaji was crowned to become Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. However, doon after the grand 'Rajyabhishek', standing against an army of over 75,000 soldiers, Shivaji had to step back and sign the Treaty of Porbandar, but his vengeance was alive in every quiet breath he took. With the sacrifice of hundreds of brave hearts, the grip of the Mughal Empire crippled and Shivaji Raje stood undefeated at the hands of Aurangzeb. The morale and prestige of Bharat was revitalized and the saffron flag of victory soared high. Prachyam, on the occasion of the 348th anniversary of Shivaji’s coronation, brings to you a glimpse of his triumphant endurance. Let the vision of Swarajya relive in us.
